AI voice agent for solar leads: answer and book consults in a voice that sounds local
Independent Energy Hawaii
What they did with AI
Independent Energy, a residential and commercial solar installer in Hawaii, had tried an AI phone agent before, and CEO Desta Rudolph says callers hung up as soon as they heard its voice. The company switched to WaveSales, an AI voice and text agent built for solar and home-service companies, which lets a business pick from thousands of voices or use a custom voice print. "There's a way that people speak in Hawaii," Rudolph told Wave Sales in a video interview quoted by pv magazine: having an agent that says local street and city names correctly is what sold him. WaveSales says its agent answers calls, qualifies leads, works with the installer's CRM and books the jobs worth sending a truck to. No results figures were published for Independent Energy.

Follow up viewed-but-unsigned solar proposals automatically
G-Solar
Australian solar and battery installer G-Solar was losing after-hours leads and letting sent quotes go cold. Its integrator connected the proposal tool, CRM and job-management system, then added AI agents that answer new enquiries by voice and text 24/7 and text follow-ups when a proposal is viewed but not signed, drawing on transcripts of earlier calls. The vendor reports roughly 40-50% less admin work and roughly 20-30% sales growth within about six months, and says results vary by business.
Run AI-powered rehash campaigns on unsold roofing estimates
Bone Dry Roofing
Bone Dry Roofing (a $200M family of roofing and solar brands in 9 states) moved all outreach onto one AI communications platform: instant speed-to-lead across 11+ lead sources, missed-call follow-up, estimate follow-up, aged-lead nurture and customer care. A four-person team runs the same playbook across 17 instances. Hatch reports the appointment booking rate rose from 27% to the mid-to-high 60s and that rehash and follow-up campaigns closed more than $7M in a year.
AI lead response for a solo electrician: Sloan Electric and Podium's AI Employee save 10+ hours a week
Sloan Electric
Mark Sloan, owner of Sloan Electric and a solo electrical contractor, says in a Podium customer case study that its AI Employee sends a preliminary message to every lead within one or two minutes, so customer conversations start while he is on a job. He says that after entering every material he uses into Podium's price book he can send leads an estimate in about 10 minutes, where before it often took more than a day, and that review requests now go out automatically after each job. He estimates he saves 10 hours a week. Note the source credits the price book and invoicing workflow, not AI, for the faster estimates; the AI Employee is credited with the instant lead response. This is a vendor-published case study with no date on the page, and the figures are Sloan's own.
