Short answer: AI voice agents for plumbers answer calls and book jobs into your schedule (including after-hours emergencies), or, in on-site tools, turn a tech's spoken notes into an estimate. Plumbing shops in this directory have used ServiceTitan's AI virtual agent (Riley, Brothers), Avoca, Jobber and BlueBoost.
I'm Daniel Massaad. After years running a solar company, I got tired of AI content that never names a real contractor. Plumbing is one of the trades where voice AI shows up most clearly in public case studies: missed calls, Sunday-night no-heat / no-hot-water emergencies, overflow queues, and techs who would rather talk through a repipe than type an estimate. I built Trades AI Use Cases as a sourced directory so you can see what shops actually did — with the original link — instead of another generic "AI for plumbers" landing page.
This page pulls together the plumbing-related voice and phone entries already on the site. Figures come from the linked sources and are vendor-reported unless the source says otherwise.
What "AI voice agent" means in a plumbing shop
People search that phrase for a few different jobs. The entries on this site cover all three:
Answer and book. An agent on the main line or after-hours that schedules into your real capacity. Riley Plumbing is the clearest public example — a Sunday-before-Christmas furnace call booked and dispatched with nobody in the office.
Recover missed and overflow calls. Instead of a 10-hour callback or a hold queue, the agent picks up and books what you can actually run. See Brothers Plumbing and My Plumber Plus.
Talk, don't type. Some "voice" products sit with the tech on site: talk through the findings, get a customer-ready estimate. That's Cornel's Plumbing with BlueBoost — different from a phone receptionist, same "voice in, paperwork out" idea.
Owner Lawrence (Brook) Riley in Northern Nevada put AI voice agents and automated dispatch on his phones in 2025. On the Sunday before Christmas, with nobody working, the AI agent answered a no-heat call, scheduled it for the next morning and dispatched a tech, who closed a $1,060 ticket. Riley says his call-booking rate went from well under 50% to consistently over 80%, and ServiceTitan reports 19% revenue growth and a 170% increase in average deal size.
Brothers had call abandon rates near 30%, and callbacks could take 10+ hours. The team set up ServiceTitan's AI Virtual Agent around its real capacity, zones, technician skill sets and job types so it only books what the business can deliver. ServiceTitan reports 600+ jobs booked by the agent, $1.33M in attributed revenue and a 67% drop in the abandon rate (to about 5%). "Since November, we've recovered over a million dollars worth of revenue," says lead systems administrator Tyler Frydenlund.
My Plumber Plus, a large residential plumbing and HVAC company (about $129M revenue and 356 employees per the case study), used to push overflow calls to a third-party service with long holds. It now routes overflow to Avoca's AI Responder, which picks up within seconds and books jobs. Avoca reports zero hold time for overflow callers, 1,000+ calls handled since launch, and a 17% higher booking rate than the old overflow process.
Owner-operator Frank Galvin of Frankie's Plumbing in San Diego can't answer emergency calls mid-job, so Jobber's AI Receptionist picks up, takes the caller's details and leaves him a clear message to return between jobs. "The AI takes a message. It jots down the information very well... we're able to get their business, and we don't lose any money," he says. The case study also credits Jobber's quoting, scheduling and payment tools as the company grew from about $100K to an estimated $800K a year.
Cornel's Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning, a family-owned shop in the Portland, OR metro area, has had its technicians write estimates with BlueBoost since June 2024. Instead of typing a few technical lines on a tablet, a tech talks through what they found and the AI turns each option into a clear, detailed write-up a homeowner can follow, which matters on big jobs like repipes and trenchless sewer replacements. BlueBoost reports, from its own dashboard for June 2024 through Oct 11, 2026, more than 17,500 estimates on jobs totaling $13.4M in sales, a 26.4% higher average ticket and 10% more estimates per job versus jobs written without it, and an estimated 1,460 hours of writing saved (assuming five minutes per estimate). Vendor-reported figures.
Homer Home Service, a multi-brand HVAC, plumbing and electrical platform in the Southeast (brands include Comfort Dynamics, McKeon and Ebens), used to take two days to a week in peak summer to call back leads from its national retail partners. Between November 2025 and January 2026 it expanded Avoca from after-hours calls to a full deployment across its brands: an AI agent named Beatrice ('Bea') answers first, texts leads who don't pick up, books simple appointments end to end, and sends follow-up 'happy call' texts, while CSRs take the escalated calls. Avoca reports time to first contact fell to about 30 seconds, booking rates rose 25-30% across brands, and Bea handles 200 to 500 extra customer interactions a day. Vendor-reported figures.

What I'd look at before buying
I'm not selling any of these products. From reading the sources and living the ops side, the questions that matter for a plumbing shop:
Does it book into your zones, tech skills and capacity, or does it overbook garbage?
After-hours and Sunday coverage — is that where you're actually losing jobs?
Warm transfer to a human when the caller is angry, commercial, or outside the playbook.
Whether you need phone booking, on-site estimate writing, or both. They're different products.
Read the source on each entry. Vendor dashboards are not an audit. If you've got a plumbing voice-agent story with a public write-up we haven't listed, send it in.
